2. Types of Data Collected

• Data voluntarily provided by the user: through the “Request a Quote” form or the contact form, we collect personal data such as Name, Email, Company and Phone Number. This data is automatically forwarded to the operational email address info@designplot.it for handling the request.
• Browsing data and Cookies: IP addresses and parameters related to the operating system/browser to ensure the correct functioning of the website. For further details on the cookies used (including third-party services such as Google Maps, Google Analytics and WhatsApp), please refer to our Cookie Policy.
• Data arising from the use of third-party services integrated into the website: see point 3.4.

3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

3.1 Responding to inquiries and quote requests

Data submitted through the contact forms is used exclusively to respond to requests for information or to provide the requested quotes. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

3.2 Website functioning and security

Technical data (IP, browser, operating system) is collected to ensure the security and proper functioning of the website. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3.3 Provision of data

Providing the data requested in the contact forms is optional. However, failure to provide it will make it impossible for the Data Controller to respond to the request or process the requested quote.

3.4 Integrated third-party services

The website integrates the following services provided by third parties, which involve independent data processing by the respective providers:

• Google Maps (Google LLC): the website includes an embedded interactive map. Loading the map results in the transfer of technical data (e.g. IP address) to Google’s servers, even independently of the user’s active interaction with the map. For more information, please see Google’s Privacy Policy.
• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.): the website includes a direct link (a “WhatsApp button”) that allows users to start a conversation with us via the WhatsApp app. By clicking this button, the user will leave our website and the data relating to the conversation will be processed directly by Meta Platforms, Inc. in accordance with its own privacy policy, which we invite you to review here: WhatsApp Privacy Policy.

The Data Controller has no access to, or control over, how these third parties process the data collected through their services.

4. Data Recipients

Personal data collected through the website’s forms may be shared with third parties acting as data processors (pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR), such as, by way of example, hosting service providers, email service providers, or website technical support providers, to the extent strictly necessary for the performance of their respective functions.

Data is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes without the explicit consent of the data subject.

5. Transfer of Data Outside the EU

The third-party services indicated in point 3.4 (Google, Meta) may involve the transfer of data to countries located outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers take place on the basis of the safeguards adopted by the respective providers (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission), as indicated in their respective privacy policies.

6. Methods and Place of Processing

Data is processed at the Data Controller’s operational premises and at any other location where the parties involved in the processing (including any external processors) are based, using both paper-based and IT/telematic methods, following logics strictly related to the stated purposes and in any case in a manner that ensures the security and confidentiality of the data.

7. Data Retention Period

Data provided through the contact forms is retained for the time strictly necessary to fulfill the request and, subsequently, for the period required by applicable civil and tax regulations for any accounting or legal obligations.

8. User Rights

Pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, data subjects have the right, at any time, to:

• obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of their personal data;
• learn about its content, origin, and the purposes of processing;
• request its updating, rectification, completion, or erasure;
• request the restriction of processing in the cases provided for by law;
• object to processing, in whole or in part, on legitimate grounds;
• request the portability of their data, where technically feasible.

Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, www.garanteprivacy.it), if they believe that the processing of their data has occurred in violation of applicable regulations.
